Reiki

Healing by touch and using the universal life force energy to heal is not new, we have heard of many occasions over thousands of years where Jesus and Buddha have given healing.

I completed my first and second degree Reiki training using the Usui method in 1997-98 and went on to achieve my Reiki Masters and teaching certificate in 2003 after six months of intensive teaching with my Reiki Master.

I have worked with many people offering hands on and distant healing through out the years. Reiki is a beautiful therapy and everyone who has a Reiki healing session has comment on how relaxed and safe they felt throughout the therapy. Falling into a deeply relaxed state where they felt heat or tingling or saw the most profound and uplifted images and colours during their healing. You don't have to believe in the healing for it to work. Sometimes the important thing is just to take a leap of faith and try something new.

In 1995/6 I experience reoccurring ill health and was on the point of burn out. I was extremely tired and could not shift this exhaustion. I had seen the GP and nothing seemed to help. Then I kept seeing information about Reiki and thought well I've got nothing to loose by having a go. So I went for weekly healing sessions for four weeks and the change was amazing, I had more vitality, was sleeping better and my mind was much more positive and I was able to recognize that I had so many pressures and so much to do that it was surprising that I hadn't buckled under before then. After this I had regular top ups and this really moved me forward along my spiritual journey.

After this I wanted to learn more and I completed my Reiki 1 in 1997.
